If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will provide you the opportunity to give scuba a try to see if you like it. During the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in a pool and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.

You will find out what it’s like to breathe underwater. You will learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like. And, you will learn some basic skills and safety rules.

All the equipment you will need is included in the Discover Scuba Diving experience. You’ll use all the basic scuba gear including:

• a mask

• a snorkel

• a pair of fins

• a buoyancy compensating device that also carries your scuba tank

• a scuba regulator to breathe from

• instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply

Discover Scuba Diving will be taught at the Montrose Aquatic Center or the Ouray Hot Spring Pool. The dates and times are TBA.

Discover Scuba Diving classes are $65 per person, per session. The class fee includes daily admission to the pool.
